The Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Steps to Solving Problems at Work.” The workshop was part of a series of training programs offered by the college to support and empower students and graduates and increase their readiness for the job market. The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Houra Hussein Ghaffal and attended by a group of students in the college’s leadership hall.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical and scientific tools to deal with professional challenges, introducing them to the concept of problems in the work environment and the mechanisms for diagnosing them, enabling them to acquire logical thinking and analytical skills to make appropriate decisions, and training them on practical and scientific steps to solve professional problems in an effective and systematic manner.
At the end of the workshop, several recommendations were issued, most notably the need to adopt clear methodological steps in addressing any job-related problem to ensure the best results, the importance of enhancing the communication and teamwork skills of students and graduates to solve problems, and the integration of problem-solving skills into student career preparation programs.
This workshop underscores the College of Nursing’s commitment to contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education). By providing students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the college seeks to enhance the professional capabilities of participants, thereby raising the quality of university education and contributing to the qualification of cadres who are able to compete and succeed in the job market.
